On 26 August 2015 DATS members visit St Fagans National History Museum in Cardiff where they were welcomed by Elen Philips, Principal Curator: Contemporary & Community History. Members heard about the plans for the redevelopment of Wales’ most popular and successful historic site (Making History) and visited the textile and costume store where they saw a patchwork bedcover and court mantua, among other things. The day ended with weaver Dewi Jones sharing his knowledge of cloth making accumulated for over 20 years. A more detailed report can be found here.
